DOG AND CAT RESCUE - If you can offer a forever home to a needy dog and yes, you can rescue a puppy, or cat or kitten then contact the following:

KITTENS urgently seeking homes from age 12wks. We will put up some photos soon but please contact us if you can help. If the kitten is old enough we will neuter and give at least the first vaccination, otherwise you must agree to ensure they are neutered and vaccinated. A donation towards our costs will be much appreciated and go to help other needy kittens and cats. We do also from time to time have older cats needing homes.

www.dogpages.org.uk a website listing dog rescue charities with daily updates of dogs looking for homes.

www.enfielddogrescue.co.uk local rescue who do not have kennels, all the dogs are fostered in private homes. Most of EDRs dogs looking for homes are listed on their website. More foster homes urgently needed to cope with the large number of dogs coming into rescue. If you can help phone Mary on 0208 482 9372. This is mainly for small dogs and you must be experienced dog owners.

 www.freshstartforhens.co.uk Rehome needy ex battery hens - fabulous pets plus eggs as a bonus. The hens are by donation, from £2.50 each. We have fresh free range eggs in our shop from our rescued hens.

THE PONY CLUB - Bucks Meadow is a Pony Club Centre. Full information is on their web site.

BUCKS MEADOW have over the years, taken in a number of rescue ponies, each with their own story to tell. Some of these ponies recover enough to be ridden and others live their days happily grazing in our paddocks. Sadly a few of the ponies have in their past been mismanaged and could contract laminitis (a painful foot condition caused by over rich grass) so these have to have restricted grazing or no grazing at all.

Madeleine tries to help all needy animals but especially her ponies, dogs and cats. If you know someone who needs help with their pet do ask for advice and/or assistance. If Madeleine can not help personally then she may well know someone who can.
