Indoor arena with viewing gallery, seating area with tea & coffee making facilities, plus cold soft drinks. New shop now open selling riding gear. We have also installed riding simulator (a life size computerised horse) which is ideal for beginners and returners.
2 outdoor arenas.
2 paddocks for show jumps and natural/cross country jumps.
Riding round our own land with grassy tree lined tracks ideal for hot summer days. Direct access to Merry Hill Greenway. Hacks are available to regular experienced riders but are subject to suitable weather and ground conditions.
Activities & courses
PONY DAYS 
Riding, grooming and stable management. Learn how to care for a pony and have fun with mounted & unmounted games. Bring lunch. 10.00-3pm. Age 7+yrs. £35 pd. Each day will be different. Tues, Wed & Thurs throughout the Summer holidays. All activities are suitable for beginners or more experienced riders.
PONY MORNINGS
Riding, grooming and stable management. For beginners or more experienced riders. Age 6+yrs. £25. 10-1pm. Ring for more information or to book a place. On Thursday mornings during the Summer holidays. Next dates autumn half term, Tues & Wed (Thursday is Pony Club only).
JUNIOR GROOM & RIDE SESSIONS
for 5-7yrs 2 hrs 10-12 noon. £22. Fully supervised and ideal for beginners. Thursday mornings throughout the Summer holidays.
PONY WEEKS
Join us for 3 days helping care for the ponies, riding and having fun. Nature trail, treasure hunt, quiz, mounted & unmounted games. An excellent way to improve your confidence and skills. Finish the week with a handy pony competition - parents and friends welcome to watch. Age 7+yrs. 9.30-3pm. Bring lunch. Tues - Thurs. £90 pw. Most weeks available Summer 2010. HELPING AT THE STABLES
If you want to become a helper you must attend Pony Week, Pony Days or Pony Mornings to gain experience handling the ponies, you also need to join the Pony Club. Minimum age for helping is 11 years unless you have been given special permission by Madeleine. All helpers must ride regularly at Bucks Meadow. We also have a volunteer programme for those age 16+yrs. Phone for details.
Birthday parties
Riding parties for a minimum charge for 7 children at £17 per head including necessary hat hire. Includes a 45 min ride (indoors if wet), a quiz, a tour of the stables and meet the ponies. There is a party room available for a small extra charge. Expect to be at the stables for 1½ to 2 hours. Make a phone booking and follow up with a deposit. Cheques (with banker's card) should be made payable to Watford Equestrian Ltd. Balance is payable in cash on the day. Parties are usually held on a Saturday afternoon.
If you do not want a full party programme it is possible to book an exclusive ride for yourself and your friends. Phone for details and availability.
